Bicycles, Bicycles, Bicycles

In line with my 2014 resolution to use my stash in a methodical manner, I assigned Bicycles to February. I've been working on layouts from my stash, a large portion of which is Club Scrap's Wheel & Sprocket kit. Most of these layouts are "half-baked" meaning they don't yet have photos or stories. But the framework is there when I locate the appropriate photos. I have scrapped "backwards" like this for years and it works for me. Anyway, just want to post proof that I have been making pages, even though they aren't in a presentable state yet. Although one of them was posted yesterday and the one in the top right corner is my very first layout in the popular pocket page style. And there are more where these came from......

Thanks for dropping by.

My Perfect Day

After lurking around on the Get It Scrapped site for about a year, I finally took the plunge and signed up for classes. This layout was made after watching a video about Bracket foundations on a layout. My February motif is Bicycles so I'm diligently working on using up my Club Scrap Wheel and Sprocket kit materials. And that is quite a challenge. I have posted this layout as my first offering over at Get It Scrapped. We'll see how I fit in.

Anyway, this style of layout is way out of my comfort zone but I'm happy with the result. As you may recognize, I am a two page layout person so one page makes me feel a little lost. Most of my photos come from days when I've taken a boatload of pictures. These two, however, are from 1987, the pre-digital days. When I might only take two photos at an event or on any given outing. Roy and I biking on the American River Bikeway (as it was known back in the day). All supplies are Club Scrap except for a few little embellishments. Thanks for stopping by.

Shoebox Project

For our Squirrely Get Together last weekend, Nancy had a fantastic idea which she called the Shoebox Project. Each of us brought a card sample and all supplies for the other two to create the same (or similar) card. Farley and I each made two cards based upon Nancy's samples which were adorable. This was one of mine. I have that very flower stamp set but have I ever used it? Noooooooo

It was a great crafty weekend and this Shoebox idea was fabulous. If you want to check out Farley's results, click here.

Happy Valentine's Day

Created with the Happy Hearts cover plate die from Papertrey Ink. Cut all of the hearts out of rainbow colors and individually placed each heart in the rows. Tedious but I love the final effect. Thanks for dropping by.

popcorn2stamp

Finally inked up my popcorn2stamp from The Stamps of Life. I wanted to make a Valentine theme card so I used hearts stamped with conversation heart greetings from Stampin Up. I think it works. Thanks for looking.

Made this card for a challenge at Papertrey Ink. As usual, I was too late for the challenge but the card is safely in the mail to our Florida cousins who chose that romantic date to get hitched. Cardstock from Club Scrap. Dies and stamp from Papertrey. Thanks for looking.
