Flutter By Wednesday

Flutter By Wednesday

Created this card for the weekly challenge #147 at Flutter By Wednesdays. This week’s challenge is open. The only requirement is that the card must include an angel, fairy or butterfly. I included my little butterfly with the dress form to create a sort of soft feminine steampunk look.

Also posted it at Little Red Wagon for Challenge # 73 Butterflies.

The patterned background was created with the Tissue Color from Technique Junkies using a stamp from Steppin’ Out. This technique is featured in the February/March 2011 TJ newsletter. All shapes cut on Silhouette digital cutter. Stickles from Ranger used on butterfly. Bling is from my stash.

All other supplies are from Club Scrap. Kits used are Destinations card base, Written Word and Scholarship triangles and butterfly shapes, and Blossom dress form.

Gingersnap Creations

Gingersnap

This card was created for a challenge GC #96 at Gingersnap Creations. The challenge required the use of the colors copper, ginger or rust. For the copper, I used the handmade foil paper from Club Scrap’s Adobe kit. The tulips were stamped twice using Gelato watercolor pigment and India ink on the second impression. Other than the gelatos, all supplies from Club Scrap. Other kits used were Raku and Nature’s Wonders.

This card was loosely based on the sketch at Mojo Monday #183. I had troubles with the placement of the circle image but did the best I could to follow the sketch.

This card was also posted in the final challenge of the PSL, Club Scrap’s contest with weekly challenges. This week we were required to use elements from three different kits from 2010-2011. Thanks for looking.

A Great Lake

I may be wrong but I think this was my first time seeing Lake Michigan. Mom can probably answer that one. Another Great Lake on my life list. Not really. I hadn’t planned to see them all but now that I’ve seen this one, maybe I’ll add more. I made a point of having Chrissie photograph me with my hand in the water.

A Great Lake

All supplies are Club Scrap with the exception of Magic Mesh and a chipboard A. Kits used are Castaway citrus print, Raku teal and Destinations cutaparts.

This week our challenge is to include elements from three different Club Scrap kits issued in 2010-2011. This is our final week for PSL so our lives can start to get back to normal, you know, things like laundry and cleaning and meal preparation will no longer be ignored.

Here are a few more of the cards I have posted for this challenge, including another couple using the Pierced Spotlight technique from Technique Junkies.

Mardi Gras 1

Another silly move on my part. I’ve been wanting to send Mardi Gras cards for YEARS! I carefully made several of these Mardi Gras cards to send to various lucky recipients and then totally messed up on the date that Mardi Gras occurred this year. So here they sit, still on my work table. Eventually I will mail them to someone. DUH

Card posted in a challenge from Ginger Snap Creations for Mardi Gras cards.

All supplies from CLUB SCRAP with the exception of Ranger Stickles, Martha Stewart Glitter and the mask stamp from my old stash. I can’t identify the maker. Club Scrap kits used include Common Threads, Sonoma, Solstice and Fiesta.
