Colorful Silhouettes

Squirrely Nancy challenged us this month to create with the Colorful Silhouettes technique from Technique Junkies Newsletter of August, 2011. With a road trip pressing down on me, I can’t take time to complete a card using the technique, but I did want to demonstrate that I did my homework and created something with the technique. The first photo illustrates the three attempts and the second one is the result I liked best. I will create a card with this panel upon my return. (I promise, Mother Squirrel). I used my Distress Stains (Wild Honey and Peeled Paint) for the very first time. Ditto for the crackle stamp which was actually designed for clay projects. I was encouraged by Nancy to buy it for rubber stamping and it worked like a charm. Thanks, Nancy. The cactus stamp is an oldie but goodie from Stampin’ Up. Thanks for looking.
