Compendium of Curiosities Challenge #28 and Technique Junkies Acetate Flower Challenge

 CCC 28 fragmentAcetateFlower ATJ

Well, we’re up to #28 at the Compendium of Curiosities Challenge at Studio L3. I haven’t completed all of them like my little sis, but I have completed fourteen. This week’s technique is Colorful Layered Fragments on page 50 in Tim Holtz’s wonderful book.

I was also challenged by my good friend Nancy to make an Acetate Flower based upon a Technique Junkies technique this month. It took me three days longer than Nancy to get mine posted but I am finally finished. Slow but steady.

So I combined the two challenges, using sketch MMSC #87 from Midnight Madness, to meet as many challenges as possible with one tiny card. I was trying to achieve a Mardi Gras look and I think I’ve accomplished that.

Supplies used: All cardstock and rubber stamps from Club Scrap (used the Greetings to Go and stamps from All That Jazz as well as some black from Musical Interlude and green from Blossom). Acetate is from Office Depot and cut on my Silhouette. Fragment is from Tim Holtz and is the design is colored with my Bic Mark-its. The embossing folder is Tim’s from Sizzix.  Bling is from my stash. Also used an edge punch from Martha Stewart.

Thanks for looking.

  1. Those are awesome sis. That acetate flower is fan-tab-u-lous and your fragment center is inspired!
