Squirrely Faux Artisan Tile Challenge

April Card Sketch Faux Artisan

This week, Young Nancy of Squirrely Art and I issued a challenge to use a Technique Junkies technique called Faux Artisan Tiles. We were also joined by Cape Cod Scrapper Julie. Take a jog over to her blog to see the beautiful faux tile she created. I have also posted this card at the Club Scrap Card Sketch thread. Join us there, if you love a sketch and a challenge.

All supplies from Club Scrap. Club Scrap kits used include Lotus Pond cardstock and Refresh fiber. The tile design was cut on my Silhouette Digital cutter. When I tried to flatten my finished tiles, they did crack a bit but I think it only adds to the aged look. I have heard also of putting them in the freezer for a bit to force the cracking. Maybe I’ll try that next time. This is a cool technique, worth visiting again.

Thanks for looking.

  1. My family and I really needed a time out from our work and a friend suggested we go to Cape Cod. When we arrived on Cape Cod, I was surprised that it was a serene place, but there were a lot of fun things to do on Cape Cod! We went sailing in Hyannis Harbor on a sailboat and then we went to Provincetown to watch whales do their thing. The experience was just plain awesome, we all feel energized when we got back to our house.
