Club Scrap July Wisteria Blog Hop

Once again we are hopping through Blogland on an adventure to see what the wonderful artists of Club Scrap have created from the current kit called Wisteria. Welcome to you if you have joined me from Ann's CrzyMom's Tidbits blog.  I have had a definite loss of Mojo this summer and so I turned to my crutch. The Assembly Line Cardmaking Idea Deck from Club Scrap. I chose the Five of Hearts and the Two of Spades to create six cards from only six sheets of cardstock.

I was further hindered by the fact that I only had access to the digital version of the Wisteria kit. However, in my stash, I still had the untouched package of cardstock from a Club Scrap Special Collection called Risen which also featured wisteria images prominently. So I was forced to improvise using papers from Risen and graphics from Wisteria. I hope you enjoy the results.

These first two cards were created using the Two of Spades and two sheets of 8 1/2 x 11 cardstock. I used fibers from my Club Scrap stash and a little bling, too.

And these four were made using two sheets of 12x12 cardstock, following the sketch from the Five of Hearts. I used some punches and die cuts to dress them up a bit. All edges were inked with Ranger Shaded Lilac Distress Ink. Graphics were printed on my inkjet printer.

Thank you for visiting me here. Hope you have enjoyed your stay. Now you can continue down the bunny path to see what Debby has in store for you. If you happened to wander in here with no direction, you can go back to the beginning by hopping over to Club Scrap Creates. You don't want to miss a thing.

The Baptist

This is a tiny sneak peak for the Wisteria Blog Hop post showing up later this morning. As I only have the digital version of Wisteria, I dug back into my mighty paper stash and found the kit called Risen which also features Wisteria prominently. Decided I could make it work. I added mats from the Castaway kit and inked all edges with Shaded Lilac Distress Ink. This layout covers part of the road trip my sister Chrissie and I took in September. On our way back to the Sacramento Valley from the Coast, we passed through San Juan Bautista and took a look at the Mission perched on the San Andreas Fault. Ooooh, scary. Scenes from the Hitchcock thriller Vertigo were also filmed here. Even scarier. I am also submitting this to the Club Scrap Sketch Relay challenge for this month. Thanks for looking.

Click

Thirty-eight years ago today at Zephyr Cove, Nevada, my hubby and I tied the knot. I wanted to make a fairly clean and simple anniversary card to give him. There isn't a lot of cohesiveness with this design but I really really really wanted to use some of the supplies I have been hoarding (er...I mean, purchasing) recently. This includes stamps from Papertrey Ink and My Favorite Things, along with a cute little camera die set from MFT as well. I enjoyed making the card. Hope he likes it as well. Thanks for looking.

Happy Anniversary

Needed to make a card for Sherry and EZ. Their 12th anniversary is coming up in early August and I am actually way ahead of schedule on this. I've been aching to try a  recent purchase from Papertrey Ink called Shutterbug Special. I just love this old style instant camera. In fact, I have one in my collection very much like it. The papers are from a Simon Says Stamp Card kit. Thanks for looking.

Summer Camp - Still on Day One

Just browsed back through my blog and it looks like there's a theme going. Bikes everywhere. So I will break that thread and give you a dress. Still working with the same color palette and a different sketch. I think I stayed close enough to the assignment to get credit for it. The dress and hanger were cut on my Silhouette. The patterned papers are all from my stash, some of which is from the past Simon Says Stamp card kits. Which is where I got the stamped sentiment and border. This is a card for Jean, my sister-in-law. Thanks for looking.

Summer Camp 2 - Day One

Yes, I signed up for another Onlinecardclass by Jennifer McGuire and Kristina Werner. This one is called Summer Camp 2. For the first week, we were given three sketches and a color palette to follow. This card is my attempt to follow both. Stamps used are from The Stamps of Life (balloons) and Papertrey Ink (the wonderful bike with interactive parts. Yes, the wheels really turn.) Patterned paper is from American Crafts Shoreline. Thanks for looking.

Happy Birthday, Chrissie

A very happy birthday to my little sister Chrissie. I made this card using a set of stamps from Darcie's gifted to me for my birthday by that very same sister. The stamp set is called Let the Good Times Roll. The papers used are from American Crafts Shoreline. All edges distressed with Ranger inks. The sketch is from Operation Write Home. The good times always roll when I'm with my sis. Hope you have a happy day!
