Squirrely Compendium of Curiosities Challenge #35

CCC 35 Design Details

Finally we have reached Week 35 of the Compendium of Curiosities Challenge at Studio L3. Our final technique is Design Details on Page 67 of Tim Holtz’s book.

This card also meets the Technique Junkies challenge set forth by Nancy at Squirrely Art using Tissued Color. This technique is featured in the February/March 2011 newsletter from Technique Junkies. Thanks for looking.

A big thank you to Linda Ledbetter at Studio L3. This weekly challenge has inspired me and helped me grow in making creative art pieces and I eagerly look forward to her next challenge.

Supplies used:

All cardstock from Club Scrap
Kits used: Simply Beautiful card base lavender, Written Word blackberry and light purple, Blossom purple, Scholarship cream
Stamps from Stepping Out
Fiber from Wild Wild West
Brads from Joann’s
Dress form and butterfly cut on Silhouette
All edges inked
Butterfly was cut on watercolor paper and colored with watercolor pencils and sprayed with Perfect Pearls homemade spray

    Your Challenge 35 piece is stunning! I love the winged dress form, and the color contrast between the purples and elegant black is gorgeous, You absolutely ROCKED the Design Details elements. The stitching and brads are perfect, and the entire piece is classy and stylish.
