Squirrely Challenge–Chalked Embossing

Squirrely Challenge

Head Squirrel Nancy posted a new technique challenge a few weeks ago. I have struggled with it. Wasn’t too happy with the results. But, as usual, once the panel is cut up and finessed a bit, I like it a lot better. Trying to work on Valentines here so this is what I came up with, using a Cuttlebug embossing folder. All cardstock is from Club Scrap, as usual. The XO’s were cut on Silhouette and then inked with Tim Holtz Distress Inks. The Technique Junkies technique called Chalked Embossed uses a glue stick and chalk. You’ll have to check out their site to get the details. This card is also posted at the color challenge at The Friday Mashup. Thanks for looking.

(Okay, Nancy, NOW you can post the next challenge….Smile)

  6. I love how this came out.. It's looks like you have a piece of fabric going across the card and tied in the center.. So pretty! Thanks for joining us at the Friday Mashup this week.
