I printed the globe and row of books twice onto Bristol Smooth paper using my inkjet printer. I allowed it to "cure" for a day or two so there would be no smearing when I used my water based media on it. The books colored with Derwent Inktense pencils. I cut out a few of each set of books, mounted them on dimensional squares and then coated them with Glossy Accents. For the globe, I used a stencil which was part of the Bookshelves kit and colored with Tim Holtz Distress Inks in Salty Ocean (how original) and Shabby Shutters.
This layout has special meaning to me as this is a song my hubby often sings to me in his silly fashion. We decided it would be perfect to use for photos of our long-ago trip Down Under for all of the strange sounding names we heard and saw. Featured here are Timaru, Kawakawa, Ohaeawai, Katikati, Kowhai and Taroom. Such great memories.
Thanks again for joining me. Now you can hop on back to the start of this fun at Club Scrap Creates in case you've missed any hoppers along the way.
Jen, I am just so impressed that your layout is using all of those digi elements. Great job incorporating them into your layout. The globe came out fantastic! Love that your hubby sings to you, how romantic :)
