Day Seven Christmas Stocking

Day Seven

I must be the slowest “tag” maker in all of Craftdom. Everyone else is now sitting back with their feet up while I still struggle away on my tags. This one is one of my favorites and I did enjoy making it. Once again, I don’t think I had the success that Tim does on the inking of the embossing folder but I’m content with my results. I love my poinsettia though I did not make it from Sticky Back canvas as did Tim. Mine uses the red fabric from Painted Desert. I’ve been hoarding that piece of “paper” for years. Finally had a use for it. The rock candy stickles are all over the green swirled surface of the stocking.

Supplies used: Cardstock from Club Scrap (kit used: Painted Desert red fabric and green cardstock, also green leaves from Retreat Bundt box). D’vine swirl embossing folder from Provo Craft. Flourishes are Tim Holtz Grungeboard Elements. Also sprayed the poinsettia with my home recipe of Perfect Pearl spray. Bling from my stash and colored with Bic Mark-its.

Distress inks, Rock Candy and Xmas red Stickles, gold Paint Dabber (on flourishes) from Ranger. Poinsettia cut on Silhouette SD.

Thanks for looking. Edited to fix those letters. The incomplete Stickles were driving me crazy. Now they look sparkly and red. Thank you for looking.

  1. Jennifer, your little stocking is absolutely darling! What a clever way to do the 12 Tags, and I love the gorgeous poinsettia! The Rock Candy looks great on the flourishes, too!

I hope you have a wonderful Christmas!
