Squirrely Challenge – Faux Barn Wood

Faux Barn Wood

Another Squirrely Challenge with my friend Nancy. I am actually finished early this time. The technique is from the February 2011 Technique Junkies newsletter and is called Faux Barn Wood. It’s a cool technique and not too difficult, if you have a little patience or time, which I don’t. So I used a heat tool to dry it quickly. I’d like to try it again and allow the layers to dry naturally.

Club Scrap Cardstock: Apothecary card base, Gratitude red bird
Embellishments: Stamp used: Lotus Pond un-mounted stamp, bird cut with Silhouette, Magic Mesh
Challenge element: Technique Junkies Faux Barn Wood technique used on panel, Distress ink used on edges

  2. squirrely challenge, lol. Love that name. This looks amazing and I'm definitely wanting to copy shamelessly. Hopping over to see what the squirrel herself has done with this challenge.
