Denni, Wolf Pup of Valley of Fire
Sweet little layout I created for PaperArtistsOnline for a scraplifting challenge. I used all Club Scrap materials, from the Connections Retreat 2010 kit. Photos are of Denni from our trip to the Southwest in 1998. Hubby called her the little Wolf Pup for the duration of the trip (and after) so that’s the sub-title. Thanks for looking.

Happy Birthday
Happy birthday to my hubby. I wanted to make a card using this Club Scrap stamp so I designed it around his age. The 77 is made of felt Thickers from the Bistro kit. The card base and panels are from Haberdashery and Written Word. All supplies Club Scrap. All edges inked with Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Seedless Preserves, my new favorite color. The numbers were embossed with Cuttlebug. Thanks for looking.

An Explosive Situation
This little story has to be lived to be understood. While out on the backroads of Kentucky with my Mom and Sister, we stumbled onto this saltpeter mine in what seemed like Deliverance Country. Funny story. It was an isolated scary place to be. And those holes in the rocks were humongous.
This kit continues in the PSL challenge called Make it a Double. I used kit papers from Sparkle and Mirror, Mirror with brads from Rhapsody. The sketch is from a Club Scrap ALSB.
Copperopolis
Club Scrap’s PSL continues and this week the challenge is to use paper from one kit and embellishments from a second one. This layout was created with base papers from Adobe and Artifacts. Brads are from Rhapsody. The layout is about our trip this summer to Copperopolis in the Gold Country. The sketch used is from the Big Picture Double Take class.
Week 7–Weekly Chronicles
Week Seven and I’m staying with it. This layout was created on digi kit from Club Scrap called Love Ink. The journal card again is from Valorie Brown and the layout template is from Becky Higgins Project Life through Jessica Sprague. A jam-packed Valentine week. Thanks for looking.

Embellishments are the Pink brads from Bistro, sticker from stash (Special Moments) and the doodads from Avant Garde. The mirror print on the left was cut with a graphic design on the Silhouette digital cutter. On the right, I designed the title right onto a mat in Silhouette. Thanks for looking.

Love Makes the World Go ‘Round
Just a Valentine to all of my crafty friends. This card was used as the February Card Sketch Sample at Club Scrap. All materials are Club Scrap. The white card base from stash, black panel from Steppin' Out, small black mats from Vogue, red mats from Dream in Color, white smooth Bristol panels embossed with Provocraft folder, stamp from County Fair, ribbon from stash, brads from Games, hearts cut on Silhouette and sprayed with Smooch.
Happy Valentine’s Day to you all!!!

Tree of Hearts
Another sweet little gatefold Valentine. This one is on Club Scrap cardstock but uses a new-to-me stamp (Christmas gift from sometime Squirrel Connie) from Stampin’ Up called Tree of Leaves. So sweet. I cut the little hearts on my Silhouette Digital Cutter and covered them with Smooch and Stickles to make some glittery hearts. The background stamp is from Club Scrap’s Be Wonderful kit.
Going Postal on Valentine’s Day
Another gatefold Valentine created with all Club Scrap materials. The postal shape and mask were created on my Silhouette Digital Cutter. The stamps used were from the Retreat 2010 Postoid sheet and From the Heart. I’ve always enjoyed making faux postage and this one was an answer to Hetty’s Challenge at Club Scrap.

Rosette Valentine
I made a number of Valentines this past few weeks and thought I would share them with you a few at a time to prepare for the holiday.
This one is a gatefold card with a black belly band. It is a rosette created with vellum from the Vogue kit. The rubber stamps used were from two February kits: From the Heart and Key to My Heart. The heart is coated with red Stickles. All supplies are from Club Scrap. Thank you for looking.
PSL Week One – Stamping
This week marks the return to our Pro Scrapbookers League over at Club Scrap. For our first week we were challenged to create cards and/or layouts using stamping as an element on the artwork. I finished six layouts and quite a few cards. I won’t post them all right now but here are two of my favorite layouts.
This first one was created on the Raku kit and depicts my visit in October with Mom and Chris to Cumberland Falls in Kentucky. It was Chrissie’s first visit and my first since 1962. Memories.
The second one is about our visit (on the way to Cumberland) to the Colville Covered Bridge in Bourbon County. This was created on the Arts n’ Crafts kit. All supplies are from Club Scrap.
Week 6 – Weekly Chronicles
My sixth week creating a digital layout for the Project Life/Weekly Chronicles challenge at Club Scrap. Hooray. I’m sticking with it. This week, we were asked to focus on a friendship. My focus is on my Squirrel friend Nancy. The photo was taking while we were on one of our frequent evening Skype sessions this week. The digi papers used this week are from the Club Scrap Love Blooms kit. The journal card is from Valorie Brown Designs.

Squirrely Challenge – Pencil Resist
FINALLY got my act together and finished my Pencil Resist Challenge from Squirrely Nancy. This month she challenged us to try this Technique Junkies technique. I enjoyed this technique and will certainly try it again in the future. This card was also posted in a challenge by Julie over at Club Scrap for artwork using “Winged Things.”
All supplies are from Club Scrap. Kits used include From the Heart, Ornamental, Musical Interlude and Color in Black & White. The Panels were cut on Nestabilities. I also used the Wisped Frame Technique on the Nestie and may have had a heavy hand. But it is what it is. Thanks for looking.
Counterfeit Kit Challenge – Smitten
P. S. I love You
This card was submitted at Club Scrap for a "faux postage" challenge presented by our friend Hetty in the Netherlands. All cardstock except Bristol Smooth is from Club Scrap. The card base is gatefold card from Autumn Splendor. Red panels are from Wheel & Sprocket. Black panels are from bag of black POPs and I can't for the life of me remember, right now, which kit. It's a black with white "hairs" showing in it. White Bristol Smooth panels stamped with unmounteds from All That Jazz. Heart cut on Silhouette is sprayed with Smooch and then Xmas Red Stickles. Text computer generated. The Beatles stamp has no ID but I bought it at a shop in Cambria. The shopkeeper told me it was from a designer in Las Vegas. Versafine Onyx ink used for stamping. Edged with black marker. Thanks for looking. Have a Hard Day's Night!!!

More Counterfeit Scraps
The cupcake card is the result of a stamp Nancy included in my kit. I love it. So cute. And here is me, stepping out of my Comfort Zone. I rarely, if ever, stamp on patterned paper. I LOVE it. You will be seeing this technique from me again. Especially with that darling cupcake. How can you miss with a cupcake? I think I’ll go make one right this minute. Thanks for looking.
The stamp on the left is from Glitz Design Afternoon Muse and the cupcake on the right is from Cocoa Daisy. The sentiment stamp is Ticketed by Katie Pertiet from Autumn Leaves. Love that cupcake, Ms. Nancy!!!
Unscripted Sketches
Another challenge from the Counterfeit Kit blog is to create a card from Sketch #141 from Unscripted Sketches. This card was created with the scraps remaining from the layouts posted below. It was fun to try to use up every last scrap of goodies provided by my Counterfeit Partner in Crime Nancy.
The only addition to the supplies provided by Nancy was a piece of string for the cute heart button and an ancient rubber stamp from Stampin’ Up which had never seen ink. Hooray again! More using of our stashes!!!
Coffee and Cream Counterfeit Results
These are photos from a December visit to the Napa Valley with my Hubby and Mom. I talked DH into a short detour to see the Grape Crusher on the hill. The flowers were made with my Spellbinders Peony nesties. I added a few sticker letters from my stash. Otherwise, everything else was in the kit provided by Nancy.
This second layout covers a trip to Mission Santa Clara on the campus of the University of Santa Clara. This was my 21st and final mission to visit in the great state of California. I have now photographed all of them. Thus, Mission Accomplished. This layout, again, was completed solely with materials provided by Nancy with the exception of the Sticker Studio Alpha Tags which have been in my stash for at least ten years. Hooray. USE YOUR STASH!!! Most edges in both layouts were inked with Tim Holtz Distress Ink. Both sketches are from the Big Picture Class called Double Take which Nancy and I took together in September/October of 2011. This has been a wonderful experience. Both using materials that I probably would not have chosen as well as sketches which were assigned to me. I have created some layouts that are totally different from my usual presentation. Nice to switch it up a bit, now and then. Thanks for looking. We can’t wait for the reveal of the February kit at Counterfeit Kit blog so we can start the process again.
